Veterinarians
Casey Kurtz, VMD
I can’t imagine being anything but a veterinarian, and am so proud to be part of this profession! Initially, I worked as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), but it wasn’t until I participated in a class on animal first aid, that my true calling was revealed. I loved it and I loved the fact that I was helping to ease the suffering of animals that couldn’t speak for themselves and were scared and suffering.
After graduating from University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008, I started working at Country Companion Animal Hospital. It was my first, last and only job! I knew I had found my home.
Every day I look forward to coming into work and connecting with not only my animal patients, but also their human counterparts. Pets are amazing and the things they do always amuse and surprise me. Over the years, I found that surgery truly interests me and I have started to perform TPLO surgery to repair cruciate ligaments, in addition to a variety of soft tissue procedures.
If my life wasn’t crazy enough, my husband and I decided to have children. Four short, chaotic years later, we have three daughters. They, however, have to share the limelight with our four-legged children: O’Malley, Regan, Phoenix. Luckily, our feline supervisors, Reilly and Eamon, keep us all in line.
Amanda Wanner, DVM
Dr. Wanner graduated from the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. In 2020, she and Dr. Kurtz bought Country Companion Animal Hospital. She is most interested in internal medicine and dentistry. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her son, husband and fur crew watching all the Batman movies.
Caroline Roxon, DVM, DACT
I have always wanted to become a veterinarian for as long as I can remember. Originally, I planned to be travelling lameness vet with a concentration in horses in the southeast, but clearly things have changed! I grew up in Charleston, SC, enjoying time on the beautiful beaches and riding horses. Eventually, I attended Clemson University for Animal and Veterinary Sciences to start my journey to veterinary school.
After I graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018, I pursued higher education in reproduction by completing an internship at Kansas State University and a residency at the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center. As soon as I finished my residency, CCAH convinced me that the North wasn’t so bad and to make the switch to small animal reproduction instead of horses. Although I’m not sure that winter and snow is really my favorite, I thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere and variety of patients we get to work with on a daily basis.
In my free time, I am usually spending the hours on my husband’s family farm in MD with my own four-legged kids Miller and Buzz, the two best Labs around, and my horse, Tempest. If I am not working or escaping the Pennsylvania winter weather in South Carolina, I am most likely at Walt Disney World, running through Cinderella’s castle at runDisney events. My goal is to complete the Dopey challenge, 48.6 magical miles of running over 1 weekend, in 2026!
Corrine Walsh, DVM
Dr. Walsh graduated from the University of Missouri, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. She joined the CCAH team directly after graduation and has a special interest in reproduction and surgery. She lives at home with her husband and three dogs. She previously worked with The Seeing Eye to help raise guide dogs. In her free time, one can find her hiking on the trails with the pups, curled up reading a good book or in the kitchen working on becoming the next "Top Chef!"
Carla Narducci, VMD
After successfully owning and operating CCAH until 2015, Dr. Narducci continues to practice on a part-time basis at CCAH. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987, she began to pursue an interest in reproductive medicine. She then expanded into other services including freezing semen, semen storage, transcervical inseminations and fertility evaluations. She spends much of her time these days staying warm in Florida.
